Markus Johannsen

Markus Johannsen has over 20 years of international transportation and logistics experience. He was appointed Senior Vice President of Global Seafreight at Kuehne + Nagel (AG & Co) KG in January 2019. Mr. Johannsen has global responsibility for the operation of the Seafreight business unit.

In 2019, he was driving the new organizational, much more customer centric set up as well as utilizing technology to realize efficiency gains across the Business.

The year 2020 is focused on implementing the new structure and beginning to roll out the Export functionality of KN new TMS SALog.

Previous to his current role, Mr. Johannsen was Senior Vice President Seafreight North Asia Pacific region from 2014 to 2018. He has a well-balanced perspective of Asia Pacific in particular China, having worked and lived in Shanghai since 2008 in various Seafreight Management positions.
