Theftex
Andreas Giessler is CEO and founder of the company Theftex. While studying logistics at the University of Bremerhaven, Andreas developed and patented the alarm tarpaulin system. This purpose of the concept is to send an alarm when the tarpaulin on a lorry is slashed. It is turning heads in the freight forwarding industry and has been awarded a VR Award for the most innovative solution in the public prize category. In 2018, Theftex gained investment from Swiss insurance company Helvetia, successfully broadening their portfolio. GPS trackers that use IoT technology are extremely durable and affordable, and they are also gaining attention in industries other than the logistics industry, e.g., the electronics industry. Theftex is a young company that has grown from a start-up to a global presence with the support of its strong partner, Helvetia.
