Thorsten Reichel

Thorsten Reichel is Head of Center of Competence LPG, Chemicals & Network at VTG Rail Logistics. He is responsible for the development of Europe-wide digitization measures for VTG's rail logistics business. With the digitization of processes and services, interfaces to customers and suppliers are optimized to make rail transport even more efficient, safe and transparent - always in productive cooperation with VTG's other divisions.

After studying in Bremen (DAV) and London, Thorsten, a trained shipping agent, dedicated his entire professional career to the logistics business. His responsibilities included various transport modalities and subject areas, including outsourcing projects, warehousing, supply chain management and added value services. He has been loyal to the chemical industry for many years and always works profitably with P&L responsibility and with a strong operational and sales focus. For many years before joining VTG he already worked in senior management positions for various major players in the industry.
