As the Global Fulfilment Business Development Manager for Ingka Group, I am responsible for the successful development and implementation of logistical processes for our stores and projects with automation. During my last 15 years at Ingka Group, I have been empowered working and learning in the logistics sector from the inside out, in various positions. Important factors for us in development are more efficient processes, together with sustainable and ergonomic innovations for our co-workers and units.
Several years ago, I was privileged to contribute in the planning and implementation of the most sustainable IKEA store in the UK – the IKEA London Greenwich store. Together with a team, I examined the topic of sustainability in logistics and integrated it into daily work processes. At Ingka, we have a saying that “you can do good business by doing good business.” The question of how logistics can contribute to the topic of sustainability and even drive it forward in the company has stayed with me ever since.
