Prof. Dominik Bösl

Dominik Bösl is Professor of Business Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences for the Bavarian Economy (HDBW) and Adjunct Professor at TUM Institute of Lifelong Learning in Munich, as well as founder of the international 'Innomancer' think tank.
Since launching his career at Siemens in 1999, he has spent over 25 years in various senior leadership roles at companies including Microsoft, KUKA, and Festo. In parallel, he advises and supports startups across different growth phases and has founded multiple ventures himself. His passion lies in the responsible development of technology – particularly robotics, automation, and AI – driven by his firm conviction that these innovations can and must make the world better. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is equally passionate about futures research, tech gadgets, Iron Man collectibles, and spending time with his two children.
He is an internationally recognized expert in Robotic & AI Governance, automation, robotics, and AI, as well as futures research and technology ethics. On these subjects, he researches and teaches at universities and institutions worldwide, and advises organizations including the United Nations, the European Commission, and the German government. He finds peace and space for reflection in nature.
