Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas M. Wendt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas M. Wendt received his doctorate in Microsystems Engineering from the University of Freiburg and holds an interdisciplinary academic background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, and Robotics. After serving in senior industry positions, he was appointed professor at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences in 2014, where he has held an Endowed Professorship for Cobotics and Socio-Technological Systems since 2022 and serves as Head of the Work-Life Robotics Institute. His research focuses on human-robot collaboration, additive manufacturing in robotics, and wireless technologies, and has gained wide recognition through numerous collaborations, publications, patents, and international review activities.
